Electronic Sign Systems
Axion manufactures its own electronic sign systems
to ensure a perfect match with the audio architecture.
The liquid crystal display panels with their mosaic
of characters offer the best possible readability
along with total ease of maintenance. Our light-emitting
diode panels (LED) let you write messages using
a dot matrix. Given their luminous quality, they
provide a dynamic, multipurpose visual effect
inside rail cars.
Our sign components serve different purposes:
- Destination signs inform people outside the
vehicle of its itinerary
- Interior signs are part of the audio communication
system and indicate station names, service messages,
and other information
- Operator control panels allow attendants to
view messages and select the appropriate ones
- Messages on seats inform attendants of passenger
departure and arrival points
- Fluorescent maps indicate stops along specific
routes
- Signs show when washrooms and telephones are
in use
Our systems are available for shuttle, high speed,
intercity, light rail, and monorail trains.
Destination Signs
Liquid crystal display signs made up of a mosaic
of characters offer the best obtainable readability.
Since none of the parts are mobile, message transmission
is always smooth. Various character sizes and
dot matrices are available. Ambient lighting is
enhanced by a reflective device, thereby further
enhancing readability. Unlike technology used
for other types of signs, liquid crystal displays
are more energy efficient. Pixel longevity is
also greater.
The bus components include:
- Outside panels for the front, back, and sides
- Inside signs indicating next stop and other
information to passengers
- Operator control panel enabling the driver
to view, modify, and select messages

Neither magnetic card nor computer is required
to download the vehicle's database.
Our systems are available for shuttle, regional,
long distance, and charter buses, as well as motorcoaches.
